Shorobe Basket Co-operative

As tourists hit the dirt road on the way to the infamous Moremi Game Reserve, one of Botswana’s pristine wildlife tourism areas, they find the perfectly situated Shorobe Basket Co-operative.

The newly refurbished building is not only home to the exquisite baskets for sale but the Co-operative also has the only flush toilets between Maun and Moremi!

Although this group was founded in 1995, the recent input into their new outlet is aimed not only at generating more sales but also at generating fresh inspiration and a new interest into its 43 members into realising the potential of craft to support and uplift the livelihoods of their whole families.
