There are two sides to Crafthood, one is the producers themselves and the other is the buyers, one cannot work without the other, and Crafthood is fortunate when it can physically bring the two sides together.  August was a celebration of this.  Arts for Africa visited Botswana and spent time with each of the centers, meeting  the weavers, hearing their stories and grasping a deeper understanding of the ‘basket story’.  This rarely happens but when it does it brings enormous strength to the relationships as each begins to understand the other forming a deeper commitment and trust.  We thank Arts for Africa for coming and the Centres for opening their doors and welcoming our buying partners so successfully.
